I teach third grade at Snowcreek Elementary. It is Catawba County’s newest school. I must admit it was exciting walking into a brand new building. Each classroom’s personality needed to be created. It is fun visiting each classroom admiring the different arrangements and ‘borrowing’ a few ideas.
I have a 13 year old son. He is the joy of my life. I cannot remember life before Hunter. He paints, draws and sculpts. He is learning to play the trumpet. He is interested in the world events. I am proud of him.
We have a dog, Beethoven. He is NOT a St. Bernard! He is a silly, hyper poodle terrier mix. He is named after the movie, Beethoven. He is the king of the house. He loves to cuddle in you arms like a baby and steal food from your plate.
I enjoy traveling with my son. We have not traveled together in awhile because of graduate school. I cherish my travel time with him because we are reconnecting with each other.
Sunday afternoons…
I love reading. I love making recipes I find interesting on the Food Network. I am a fan of Paula Deen and Down Home With the Neely’s. I love watching old black and white movies. My all time favorite old movie is Gone With The Wind. I have read the book, Gone With the Wind.
